A week of catch up.

We spent the holiday weekend in the mountains to refresh and recharge in preparation for the end of year push, so just a few quick notes to catch everyone up.

Last week, Jenn and I went through all the drawers in the studio and seperated and cleaned everything. We will be making pieces that are more fequently ordered so that they are ready to go. I'm aching to get more storage space for all the little parts.

We went to a hot mineral springs in the San Luis Valley and stayed in a yurt over the weekend. There was amazing scenery and lots of bugs.

The hot springs are touted as being the clearest and hottest in Colorado. They are a made up of boron, lithium, and arsenic. Lithium, noted for its calming effects, is reportedly also able to influence distribution of sodium and potassium. Boron is recognized for its benefits to brain function, the immune system, bones and joints. It was definitely relaxing.

I have always been the kind of gal that gets eaten up by bugs. I was quite the little feast for the mosquitos, horseflys, red fire ants, and anything else you can think of! It became a laughing matter to my husband because it bothers me so much. I felt like I was being abused by the insects. Maybe I need to cut down on my sugars.

The trip was an amazing break from our everyday lives. No phone, no computer, and no television. We hiked the Sand Dunes, hiked the Zapata Falls and checked out the little town of Crestone.

Yesterday, my friend Ann came by to show us her new lil' Mini Cooper. She has always wanted one and her old car finally went kaput on her. She called me before James and I left and I gave her the number for my friend Mark who is a manager at a car dealership. Anyway, Mark helped her and she got the Mini she always wanted. So we were checking out all the uber cool gadgets on Ann's fully loaded Mini and I say, "Girl the stars are definitely aligned for you." She says "I just put it out there that this is what I wanted. It's about faith. That's why I'm in your life."

Very interesting... I go through times where I have the faith in myself and the business and other times where I don't have it at all. I don't know why, but I seem to lose faith, and what's really interesting is that I've been working on it, so Ann's comment has great timing.
