Stitches

Before:

This post has taken me a little while. I have been getting my own set of samples ready for a Tradeshow, filling orders, and just this week our dog had surgery. I felt like I have been just ticking off all the little things I need to do one by one and then yesterday the emotion came. I was watching the dog while he was outside (so he doesn't scratch at his stiches) and almost passed out. Weird! But I guess with everything going on maybe I haven't acknowledged every emotion. The one thing that keeps coming to mind is how bad I feel for the dog. He needed the surgery but it just breaks my heart.

Roller Derby

Last night Kelly and I went to see the Rocky Mountain Roller Girls battle it out. I wasn't sure what to expect being that our minds have been tainted by the 80's movies of Roller Derbys. My major question was is it really empowering to see women beating each other up? But there was no "beating". Yeah, these girls are tough. There was no hair pulling but some serious skating for sure and some good pushing, falling and just a little beer spilling. It is empowering to see strong women really working hard to win as a team. I will have to bring Mr Scribe with me next time and see what he thinks. I had a good time and beer always helps. Also, my roller derby name - Tough Titties.
