Artist Statement
My art is an expression of learning, exploring myself and the world around me. The theme of my work addresses cultural associations to feminine symbols, vessels and shapes found in nature. As I create an object, I like to explore the changes that develop as the work evolves. My process embraces many techniques, including forging, marriage of metals, and hand fabrication. Each piece is a progression from one work to the next, with the ambition of creating a unified body of work.
